Exhibition of Chinese treasures
Treasures from our Chinese collections feature in a new exhibition in the Library’s Entrance Hall cases. The items, dating from the twelfth to the nineteenth centuries CE, are among the Chinese works now included for the first time in the Cambridge Digital Library. They include a finely illustrated book of ‘perhaps the most beautiful set of prints ever made’, printed in Nanjing, 1633—the earliest to be produced using the technique of polychrome xylography. The exhibition runs until 4 July.
