Archive Management System update

This is a regular update about the progress of the Archive Management System (AMS) project. We’ve been working on costs and a business model for full participation in the AMS as we were aware that many Cambridge archives required information in order to make a decision about taking part. Last week we sent messages to potential partners in the AMS project with a business case which includes a summary of the drivers for change and the benefits to partners of participating fully with the AMS project. We hope the business case information will be helpful background in reaching a decision and are confident that the AMS project represents extremely good value for money and is significantly less than it would cost to set up and run an independent system.

If you would like to see the business case, please get in touch. We are currently making progress on the project plan and requirements for the discovery layer which will replace Janus.
